May 2021
Everyday, people give of themselves to ensure children in care experience stable, supportive and safe home environments. These people are resource parents, child welfare professionals and members of the community such as mentors and volunteers. Their efforts to build healthy, life-long connections for children and youth in care are worthy of celebration – especially during National Foster
Care Month in May.
In recognition of National Foster Care Month and in an effort to raise awareness for the need of more safe and supportive homes, the County of Orange Social Services Agency is dispelling common misconceptions that typically hinder people from becoming resource parents. The need for homes is great. Consider becoming a resource parent to children in need – because every child deserves to know the love of a family.
