How do I prepare for compliance contacts?

Interim guidance on completing monthly social worker home visits

During this time of uncertainty, we understand you may have questions and concerns regarding social worker compliance contacts. For some resource parents, the idea of social workers entering their homes may be unsettling. Our goal is for you to feel safe and properly informed as you prepare for the monthly compliance contacts.

As of July 1, 2020, The California Department of Social Services instructed all county child welfare agencies to resume pre-COVID requirements for in-person social worker compliance contacts with limited exceptions. The diagram below outlines what you can expect for each compliance contact. Please discuss any questions or concerns with the assigned social worker.
