The System Improvement Plan (SIP) outlines how the County of Orange Social Services Agency, Children and Family Services Division and the County of Orange Probation Department will remodel their systems to improve outcomes for children, youth and families. The SIP is developed every three years by the lead agencies in collaboration with their local community and prevention partners. Approved by the Orange County Board of Supervisors and the California Department of Social Services, the report includes specific milestones, timeframes and improvement targets. The plan is a commitment to specific, measurable improvements in prevention strategies and performance outcomes that the County will achieve within a defined timeframe. Counties, in partnership with the State, utilize quarterly data reports to track progress. The process is a continuous cycle and the County systematically attempts to improve outcomes.
