Attend a Social Services’ volunteer orientation to learn about the many opportunities to show support for Orange County’s children in care, their families and resource parents.

Family Center

SSA’s Orangewood Children and Family Center (OCFC), a 24-hour, emergency shelter facility, needs caring volunteers willing to create positive connections with children who have experienced abuse and/or neglect. Activities such as dance, art, music, fitness, gardening and cooking promote healthy relationships.

Operation Santa Claus

Operation Santa Claus provides gifts to children in foster care, children from disadvantaged families and at-risk youth.Volunteers and donations of new and unwrapped gifts for children ages 0 to 18 are always needed.

is a proactive group of resource parents, social workers and community members dedicated to providing support and educational services to current resource parents.

Orangewood Foundation is a nonprofit serving current and former youth in care. The mission is to prepare youth to reach their greatest potential through independent living services and education.

The Priority Center

The Priority Center is a nonprofit serving at-risk children and families in crisis to prevent the generational cycle of abuse.

Special Advocates

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Orange County is a nonprofit serving the County’s most severely abused, abandoned and neglected children through the recruitment, training and supervision of community volunteers who advocate for their best interests.

Olive Crest
Kinship Support Services

Olive Crest is dedicated to preventing child abuse, treating and educating at-risk children and preserving the family. Support services are available to relatives raising a relative’s child(ren).

Raise Foundation is dedicated to preventing and stopping the cycle of child abuse and neglect through education, advocacy, community collaboration and comprehensive services for families and children.
