Resource parents are needed throughout Orange County. However, if you are not ready to become a resource parent, there are many opportunities to get involved and show support for Orange County’s foster children, their families and out-of-home caregivers. Orangewood Children & Family Center
County of Orange Social Services Agency’s Orangewood Children and Family Center (OCFC), a 24-hour, emergency shelter facility, needs caring volunteers willing to make a positive connection in the lives of children who’ve experienced abuse and/or neglect. Activities centering around forming healthy relationships include yoga, art, music, dance, fitness, gardening, cooking, and hair care to name a few. Operation Santa Claus
The County of Orange Operation Santa Claus program provides gifts and toys to children in foster care, group homes, and needy children in transition who are abused, neglected, physically or mentally challenged, or homeless in Orange County.
